Position & Direction

Position Dialog:
This dialog is used by the following interfaces: ElGen, ElEdit, Guide, BlockM, BMesh, Mesh, SphGen, and Vector Operation.
Global - Use global coordinate system
Local - Use local coordinate system
Popup dialog to select local coordinate system by ID (or key in)
- Px: Enter X coordinate of point
- Py: Enter Y coordinate of point
- Pz: Enter Z coordinate of point
Position - Pick position
Node - Pick node
C_Element - Get center of picking element
C_Edge - Get center edge
Avg_cen - Get averaged center of selected nodes or elements
3Ptcircle - Get center of selected nodes or elements
Get center of selected area
Accept new position
Exit dialog
- NID: Input node ID
Create new node using entered node NID

Direction Dialog:
This dialog is used by the following interfaces: ElGen, Project, Accels, BinderW, Guide, BlockM, BMesh, Curves, Mesh, SphGen, and Vector Operation.
Global - Use global coordinate system
Local - Use local coordinate system
Popup dialog to select local coordinate system by ID (or key in)
Call Position Dialog (see Figure 1)
- X: Enter X coordinate of base point
- Y: Enter Y coordinate of base point
- Z: Enter Z coordinate of base point
Set X component of the normal direction to 1
Set Y component of the normal direction to 1
Set Z component of the normal direction to 1
Call Position Dialog (see Figure 1)
- X: Enter X coordinate of head point
- Y: Enter Y coordinate of head point
- Z: Enter Z coordinate of head point
2Position - Pick position
2Nodes - Pick nodes
Edge - Pick edge
El_normal - Get normal of picking element
ROTATE - Rotate direction
Clear current vector
Reverse direction
- Title: Input vector title
- VectorID: Enter vector ID
Create new vector
Accept new direction
Exit dialog
