Introduction to LS-PrePost

Objective

Learn how to use LS‐Pre­Post to (a) pre­pare key­word in­put files for LS‐DY­NA (b) post‐process LS‐DY­NA out­put files. There is a 1‐day ver­sion of the course that cov­ers the ba­sics of pre and post‐pro­cess­ing. There is al­so a 2‐day ver­sion that cov­ers the gen­er­al top­ics in greater de­tail and spends more time on geom­e­try (CAD) op­er­a­tions. The class is di­vid­ed 50/­50 be­tween lec­ture and hands‐on work­shops.

Audience

This course is rec­om­mend­ed for any­one that cur­rent­ly us­es or plans to use LS‐DY­NA. No pri­or ex­pe­ri­ence is nec­es­sary, al­though fa­mil­iar­i­ty with gen­er­al fi­nite el­e­ment ter­mi­nol­o­gy is help­ful.

Notes

Lec­tures be­gins at 9:00 a.m. and runs un­til 5:00 p.m. The class­room ma­chines are PCs run­ning Lin­ux (CA) or Win­dows (MI).
