# Vector Operation Interface

Description: This module is used by the following Page 5 interfaces: Vector, Wall, XSect, and Coord. For the Coord interface, it takes a slightly modified form as shown in Figure 2.

Controls: (Vector, Wall, XSect)

Call Position Dialog to get tail
Call Position Dialog to get head

• X: Enter X coordiante for Tail and Head of vector
• Y: Enter Y coordiante for Tail and Head of vector
• Z: Enter Z coordiante for Tail and Head of vector

• 1n+NL - Define vector with 1 point and a normal
• Node - Enter node number for base point

• NormX - Set X component of the normal vector to 1
• NormY - Set Y component of the normal vector to 1
• NormZ - Set Z component of the normal vector to 1
• N1-N2 - Define point & normal by picking 2 nodes
• Node1 - Enter node number for node 1
• Node2 - Enter node number for node 2
• 3Nds - Define vector by picking 3 nodes
• Node1 - Enter node number for node 1
• Node2 - Enter node number for node 2
• Node3 - Enter node number for node 3
• Global - Set translate by global system
• Local - Set translate by local system

• X/L - Set L for translate direction
• Y/M - Set M for translate direction
• Z/N - Set N for translate direction

• Distance: Enter distance for translation

Translate in negative direction
Translate in positive direction
• ROTA - Rotate Vector
• Global - Set rotate by global system

• X/L - Set X for rotate direction
• Y/M - Set Y for rotate direction
• Z/N - Set Z for rotate direction

• Angle: Enter angle for rotation

Rotate in negative direction
Rotate in positive direction
• REFL - Reflect Vector
• Reflect: Select reflect items

• N1 - Pick node 1 for reflection
• N2 - Pick node 2 for reflection
• N3 - Pick node 3 for reflection

• Nodes: Enter nodes 1-3 for reflection

Reflect
Undo last reflect
Clear current vector

Controls: (Coord)

• X: x-coordinate of CS Origin, Point on local X-Axis, or Point in local XY Plane
• Y: y-coordinate of CS Origin, Point on local X-Axis, or Point in local XY Plane
• Z: z-coordinate of CS Origin, Point on local X-Axis, or Point in local XY Plane

• 1n+Xais - One node and one direction
• Origin - Set pick node
• XYPlane - Set pick node

• AlongX - Set X coordinate of point on local x-axis along x
• AlongY - Set Y coordinate of point on local x-axis along y
• AlongZ - Set Z coordinate of point on local x-axis along z
• N1-N2 - Two nodes
• Origin - Set pick node
• X-Axis - Set pick node
• XYPlane - Set pick node
• Global - Set translate by global system
• Local - Set translate by local system

• X/L - Set L for translate direction
• Y/M - Set M for translate direction
• Z/N - Set N for translate direction

• Distance: Enter distance for translation
